Bit the Bullet

Hello all, hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine...

I’ve finally bit the bullet and sold my CDJs to make way for the digital DJ revolution. Most people I know have already gone down this route, so I must follow and step aside for technology advances. So the next podcast will be (hopefully) mixed totally digitally from the wonders of Traktor.

Lets hope it’s as good as everyone makes out.

So ‘Modern Output’ is the last ‘analogue’ podcast and mix I will ever do. Enjoy while it lasts.

Recent Pics

For those who like looking in the recent pics section, I have decided to remove these and publish them on Facebook instead. After all they offer it for free!! Podcasts will still continue to be on here in the future though.

Global Gathering 2009

What a weekend, fantastic weather, amazing music. Shame about the queuing, but it was worth every minute. Thanks go to my wonderful girlfriend Gemma for getting me the ticket for my birthday. Prodigy and Carl Cox were the best of the weekend by far. Check out the pics on facebook or in the recent pics area.

Powermac G5 for Sale

Im finally selling my G5 on eBay, after 6 years of joyous computing, and of course all of my mixes and tunes! For anyone that is interested click on the ‘My eBay items’ on the right. Also selling it with the 17 inch studio display. If anyone wants to offer me a good price, I can always cancel the eBay ad.

Novation KS5 for Sale

I’ve put my Novation KS5 Keyboard for sale on eBay. Think I’m gonna go down the softsynth route. This has been a fantastic keyboard, much better than the one it replaced, and very easy to use. If anyone is interested click on ‘My eBay items’ link on the right.

Faulty CDJ 800 Mk2 Sad

Well, after my initial excitement on purchasing my CDJs I was immediately disappointed to find one of the LEDs not working on one of the CDJs.
Sent it back to the shop where I bought it, with them saying to me ‘No problem, we’ll exchange it with a new one right away’ - 48 days later!!! and still no new deck!!
I cannot believe how much messing around I have had with this supplier! Each week giving a new excuse as to why they have not got it back, blaming Pioneer each time, promising me ‘You’ll definitely have it back by the end of the week sir’; only to be let down each and every time. Cannot believe it. To top it off, when I asked them for a refund, they even stalled on that. I had to threaten them with the Sales of Goods Act 1978 before they would issue one. I am hoping that they have actually given me a refund; I have yet to have it clear in my bank Sad

So a word of warning to all; be very, very wary buying any Pioneer products from Pro Sound DJ Store in Leeds. I have nothing but total dis-belief as to how unprofessional and incompetent this company really is. On a side note; they are NOT a Pioneer authorised dealer - after speaking to Pioneer to confirm this (mmm wonder why?). After all this time waiting; Pioneer have upped the price of the CDJ by £200! Looks like I am going to be forking out some more cash!

Rant over.

Old Vinyl Going on eBay

I am selling my vinyl collection, as I haven’t the means to play them anymore.
There are some serious classics in this lot. Quite a few white labels and limited pressings too. I have compiled a list for those who want to have a look. Let me know if there are any you want; they will be going on eBay fairly soon. I am selling them as a job lot...

Aero Garden

Those who haven't got a clue what an Aero Garden is, I have posted pictures of the garden through its various stages. I originally planted chillies, jalapeños and coriander. But the jalapeños didn't even fruit, and the coriander got eaten far too much; and has now gone past its harvest stage.
So I'm left with chillies, and there are lots of them. I must use them twice, maybe three times a week, and still have enough - Brill.

Sad Times

Well, after helping create all of my podcasts over the last two years, my CDJ-1000 Mk3s are now for Sale on eBay!
Don't worry tho, this is not the end - I am eyeing up the baby brothers of the 1000s - the CDJ-400s.
If any one is interested in them, the link is below. I think they are THE BEST cd decks I have used, but times are hard and I need the money. The podcasts will return in a few months, or sooner depending on when I get the new decks Winking

The widget can be downloaded here;

By the way, the podcasts will return, just as soon as there are some decent new tunes available, its a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

Filthy Bass

barnone
First Saturday of every month there is a night on where I am attempting to DJ Winking along with Matthew Cox.

The night is called 'Filthy Bass' (very original) and the place is Bar None in the centre of Nottingham. I will of course be playing most tracks from my podcasts, with a little emphasis on bass thumping tracks. The first night (Sat 7th April) went down well, hopefully next month we will have some flyers printed to pull the crowds in.

Well this is what I have been busy doing for the past two weeks, with my two friends Matt & Mark in Nottingham. Feel free to browse the site, I think you'll agree it looks very professional if I do say so myself! The site offers an easy solution for many people who find web hosting completely alien to them. We thought we would team up and create something that would inspire people to share their lives more conveniently on the 'net'. There is a site builder built in (upon request) so you can create your website from a number of customisable templates.
Contact me if you want a value for money web hosting solution that can be easily set up in a matter of minutes!

Now on iTunes

The podcast is now officially on iTunes. It should now update all the time when a new podcast is available. I intend on doing a mix once a month, but we'll see how well I can keep up with the music. I'm loving this!!! Enjoy.
